At the end of December 1999, the U.S. Federal Highway Administration (the agency which pours the TEA, so to speak) issued $31.4 million in discretionary grants under TEA-21 for ferryboats and terminals in 21 states.

Hokes Bluff Ferry - To construct a ferry boat, upgrade ferry landing, and to acquire a motor, tower, and necessary elements of a guidance system. $304,850 allocated for this project.
